About Hung-Wei Tseng<\/strong><\/p>\n

Officially, my name is Hung-Wei Tseng or \u66fe\u6cd3\u744b in Chinese. I am currently an assistant professor in the\u00a0Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering<\/a>\u00a0and a cooperating faculty of the\u00a0Department of Computer Science and Engineering<\/a>\u00a0at University of California, Riverside<\/a>. I am now leading the\u00a0Extreme Storage & Computer Architecture Laboratory<\/a>. I received\u00a0Facebook Research Award, 2018<\/a>. Prior to joining UCR, I served as an assistant professor for the\u00a0Department of Computer Science<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0NC State University\u00a0<\/a>. I was a PostDoc of the\u00a0Non-volatile Systems Laboratory<\/a>\u00a0and a lecturer of the\u00a0Department of Computer Science and Engineering<\/a>\u00a0at University of California, San Diego with\u00a0Professor Steven Swanson<\/a>. My thesis work with\u00a0Professor Dean Tullsen\u00a0<\/a>is data-triggered threads. This work was selected by IEEE Micro “Top Picks from Computer Architecture” in 2012.<\/p>\n

Research and Education<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have obtained my PhD degree from the department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of California, San Diego<\/a>. I also have the degree of BS and MS from the National Taiwan University. I am interested in many subjects in computer science, especially those related to computer architecture, operating systems and networking. My research is about energy efficient design on memory hierarchies and networked devices.<\/p>\n
